Bachelor of Arts in Digital Design and Technology
B.A. (Digital Design and Technology)
This program aims to produce graduates who are morally grounded, professionally competent, and equipped with strong technological expertise. Education is delivered under the “work-integrated learning” approach, combining academic study with practical work experience. Learning emphasizes the development of embedded systems and data engineering, fostering skills in software development from basic to professional levels, engineering problem management and analysis, Internet of Things (IoT) systems, and cloud systems, ranging from foundational knowledge to system design.
Programs that integrate design education with practical applications of technology remain limited in number, despite strong market demand. Therefore, it is essential to develop a curriculum with the capacity to produce designers who possess technological knowledge, such as digital service innovation designers, web or mobile application designers, digital marketing planners, multimedia developers, experience and user interface (UX/UI) designers, digital asset specialists, co-investors, digital business owners, and various freelancers whose primary work involves graphic and multimedia media. The curriculum is designed with flexible teaching and learning approaches that accommodate both design theory and future-oriented technologies.
The program focuses on producing digital designers who have a strong understanding of human-centered design and user suitability. Design practices will employ technological tools to be applied in the creation of digital innovations, known as “Digital Product Design.” Examples include application design, UX/UI (User Experience and User Interface) design, responsive website design for multiple devices, human-centered design, communication design, and graphic design.
